What are Airport Lounges?

Airports are stressful places, and the best way to reduce this stress is to escape into an executive lounge while waiting for your flight. You can find lounges all around the world in the airports you visit. Usually, you will need a membership to gain access.
Airport lounges are lounges owned either by an airline company or by an alliance of such companies. This concept of airport lounge includes business services such as meeting rooms, fax, phone, Internet access, wireless, along with refreshing beverages like coffee, water, beer, juices and delicious snacks like fruit, cheese and pastries. Lounges provide quieter, more comfortable environments with much better customer service than those offered at the airport terminal.
Thanks to these features, you are entitled to a greatly facilitating atmosphere where you could, for example, better keep up with your work, check your email and contact your Italian Virtual Assistant or Travel Assistant to check with your itinerary.
You could come to benefit of all these lounges by purchasing an annual or a lifetime membership. Discounted membership fees apply to elite members of an airline frequent flyer program. International flying travellers in business class or first class are offered free access on their days of travel. There are independent lounge programs such as Priority Pass that offer lounge access. For example, this former membership program is included in the American Express Platinum and Centurion charge cards, RBS Black Card and Morgan Stanley i24, as is the case of Diners Club International cards. Some lounges offer luxuries such as massage services, swimming pools and full buffet meals. Alongside the First-class lounge and Business-class lounge, airlines may also offer Arrival lounges for long-haul international flight passengers to shower and rest.
